Roundup: Drury hockey routs Mount Everett

NORTH ADAMS — The Drury hockey team recorded a 9-1 win over Mount Everett on Saturday night.

Toby Ellingwood recorded a hat trick in the win, while Caleb Rondeau and Corbin Rumbolt each had had a goal and three assists.

Grayson Duval scored the lone goal for Mount Everett in the third period.

Monument wrestling goes 4-0

SHEFFIELD — The Monument wrestlers went 4-0 at the Mount Everett duals, picking up a 26-18 win over Southwick, a 48-30 win over Granby, a 42-30 decision over Gateway and a 42-18 victory over St. Paul.

Ely Cormier was the lone wrestler to compete in all four duals, going 4-0 with three pins. Caleb Pollard, Logan Mead and Sam Cormier all went 3-0 in their matches.

Berkshire Bruins host start of Gib Kittredge Tournament

PITTSFIELD — The 48th annual Gib Kittredge youth hockey tournament started over the weekend at the Boys & Girls Club of the Berkshires. Fifteen youth hockey teams from across three states participated in five divisions this year.

The Berkshire Bruins squirt black team advanced to the championship game in their division with a pair of wins, starting with a 3-2 win over Schenectady on Friday followed by a 3-0 win over Stamford on Saturday.

The Bruins will also have a finalist in the squirt gold division. The Bruins beat Schenectady 7-1 and Bethlehem 2-0 to advance.

The final championship team comes in the pee wee gold division. The Bruins scored 9-4 and 4-1 wins over North Berkshire and Bethlehem, respectively.

The pee wee black team split a pair of games, including a 4-2 win over Ludlow.

The Bruins bantams team dropped two games.

With the snow storm on Saturday and Sunday, the championship games have been moved to Feb. 18.

The semifinal schedule has Stamford and Schenectady playing at 7:20 a.m., Schenectady and Bethlehem at 8:20, Berkshire Bruins Pee Wee Black against Ludlow at 9:40, North Berkshire and Bethlehem at 11., and the Berkshire Bruins Bantams and Bethlehem at 12:20 p.m. The championship game schedule has the Squirt Black level at 2 p.m., Squirt Gold at 3:20, Pee Wee Black at 4:40, Pee Wee Gold at 6:10 and the Bantams at 7:40.
