Roundup: Wahconah girls soccer tops Pittsfield 2-0

DALTON — The Wahconah girls soccer team shut out Pittsfield on Friday afternoon, winning 2-0.

Maria Gamberoni scored in the first half, then Hannah Bowlby scored the insurance tally in the second on a pass from Noelle Furlong.

Lexi Swanson stopped 26 shots in the loss for Pittsfield (2-6-1, 0-3-1 Berkshire North).

"They did a great job reading the ball, which was a goal for this game," Wahconah coach Meg Smith said. "They did a good job winning the balls that needed to be won, and progressing up the field."

Michaela Moncecchi stopped 10 shots for Wahconah (6-1-2, 2-0-2).
