Roundup: Williams women's basketball team improves to 5-0

SPRINGFIELD — Williams women's basketball is headed to December with an undefeated record after improving to 5-0 on the season with a 68-46 win over Springfield. The Pride (3-3) outscored Williams 13-10 in the second quarter, but Williams took control with a 40-point second half. Emily Chang did plenty of damage with a 28-point performance that included eight buckets from beyond the arc. She also added three steals and five rebounds to her resume.

Gabby Martin was a spark plug off the bench, making 70 percent of her shots, good for 18 points.

Forward Katie Brule captured eight boards in just 16 minutes of work.

The Ephs are off until they play at Wesleyan on Dec. 3.

Endicott 3, Williams women 0

BEVERLY — The Ephs (2-3) kept it close for roughly 55 minutes, but the Gulls (8-1) pulled away and sealed the deal on a home win.

Courtney Sullivan started the scoring with a goal off of an assist from Ashlie Jones in the game's first period.

Williams remained within striking distance until Jade Meier provided an insurance goal at the 17:32 mark of the third period.

Chloe Heiting stopped 31 of 33 shots in net for the Ephs and Endicott's Kaylee Liberty scored an empty netter to ice the game late.
