Homes don't often come up for sale in the small, woodsy town of Savoy. There aren't many of them in this town of about 700, so it's perfect for the family looking for a quieter kind of life surrounded by nature.

But this three-bedroom, two-bath home on Haskins Road came on the market in January for $325,000. And it may check all the boxes one would expect to have in a home in Savoy: Nearly 7 acres of land, snowmobile trails right to the property, a big deck overlooking the backyard, plenty of woods, a five-minute walk to Savoy Mountain State Forest land. It's also a short way to the town's elementary school.

Savoy gets snowy, so the two-car attached garage with a basement entrance should make the morning commute a bit less hectic.

The 1,739-square-foot home has a breakfast nook, a kitchen that leads into a formal dining room and a living room with cathedral ceiling and pellet stove. The master bedroom and bath are on the first floor and the other two bedrooms and full bath are on the second.

The full basement isn't finished, has "tons of potential." The home is wired for a backup generator.

The home is listed by Colleen Zajac at Monarch Realty.
