Scholarships available to learn casino trade
SPRINGFIELD — Scholarships are available for a new round of casino dealer training classes being offered by the Massachusetts Casino Career Training Institute. Blackjack dealer training classes are held from noon to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday through Dec. 3, on the grounds of MGM Springfield, 95 State St. Blackjack classes will immediately be followed by carnival games training Dec. 9 to Jan. 22.
Scholarships are available for residents of Massachusetts looking to enter the casino dealer field. Applicants must be unemployed or under employed and must accept a position in the industry if offered. In addition, there is funding set aside for veterans, and active members of the Massachusetts National Guard.
The cost for the two classes is $598. Class space is limited.
