Sheffield: Illustrated talk by birdwatcher

"Birds of the Berkshires," an illustrated lecture by area bird expert Ken Schopp, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at Dewey Hall, 91 Main St. This free talk is a program of the Sheffield Historical Society.

Birdwatchers know that changing climate, ecosystems and migration patterns mean that birds that were rarely or never seen in the Berkshires have been appearing here in the last few decades. Schopp has captured some of these birds on film here in the Berkshires and elsewhere in the state.
