NORTH ADAMS -- Only one of three potential challengers for Mayor Richard J. Alcombright's seat returned papers by Tuesday's 5 p.m. deadline, according to a report in the North Adams Transcript.

Former City Councilor Robert R. Moulton Jr. will face off against the two-term mayor on November's ballot. Former City Council President Ronald Boucher, who ran against Alcombright in 2011, took out nomination forms on Friday, but failed to return any completed forms by the deadline. Richard D. Greene, who also drew nomination papers, did not return his either.
