WESTWOOD — State gas prices dropped two cents this week, with a gallon of self-serve regular now averaging $2.13, according to AAA Northeast. This week's average price is a penny higher than a month ago, 45 cents lower than at this time last year, and 6 cents below the national average.

"Typically lower supply levels translate into higher pump prices. However, even with consistent declines in gasoline supplies, that's just not the case right now," said AAA Northeast spokeswoman Mary Maguire.

On Monday, the national gas price was 3 cents higher than last week, 2 cents more than a month ago, and 37 cents cheaper than on Sept. 14, 2019.
