Stockbridge: Audiobook performance to benefit Sinfonia

The Stockbridge Sinfonia will give a benefit performance and reception from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, at First Congregational Church, 4 Main St.

"Devil's Trill" author and violinist Gerald Elias, audiobook producer Alison Larkin, and award-winning narrator Jim Frangione will present an evening of music, reading and conversation.

Elias, a longtime Berkshire resident and frequent Tanglewood performer, will conduct the musicians of the Sinfonia for this event. Elias will perform musical passages from his newly-released audiobook with a dramatic reading of the text by Frangione.

Larkin will lead a question and answer session.

Funds raised by the concert and book sale will benefit the Sinfonia.
