The Southfield Church, celebrating their 225th Anniversary with a summer-long lineup of community events, is excited to present the Reverend Bert Marshall in his production of “The Gospel of Mark Alive!”
For 16 years, Marshall has been enthralling audiences across the country performing the Gospel of Mark as if it were written to be presented live in front of an audience. And, perhaps that was the author’s original intent. Scriptures, written during a period when most people were illiterate and oral storytelling was the dominant means of conveying stories of every kind, very likely were written as extensions of the storytelling experience.
A talk-back with the perform will immediately follow the performance, with a reception on the lawn following the talk-back, weather permitting.
