Tyler Street Business Group names board, reorganizes


PITTSFIELD -- The Tyler Street Business Group has named its Board of Directors for 2014-15 and been re-organized as a nonprofit organization.

This year’s board members include, Diane Marcella, DiRon Realty, president; Karen Barbalunga, Barbalunga Enterprises, vice president; S. Grace Walter, Performance Auto, treasurer; Frank Engels III, Goodwill Industries of the Berkshires, secretary; Christine Yon, city liaison member; and Michael Ortega, Pittsfield Police Department, safety officer member.

The board’s other members are, Suzanne Engels, WebArtNTech; Gerard Natale, Christine’s Home Furnishings; Anthony Barnaba, Blueline Design; Ron Marcella Jr., Marcella Building & Renovation; John Fiorini, Performance Auto; and Pete White, Neighborhood Watch Leader.

As a new nonprofit organization, the Tyler Street Business Group will continue to provide focus and leadership towards creating a vibrant business district in the Pittsfield’s Morningside neighborhood and the Tyler Street area.
