Tyringham annual town meeting preview

The Tyringham annual town meeting will feature 19 articles that seek to set a $1.5 million operating budget, clear the way for Monterey Road improvements and purchase new equipment for the highway and police departments.

Monterey Road: Voters will be asked to grant permission to the Select Board to acquire about 15,000 square feet of property by Monterey Road as temporary easements. Town officials said the measure will secure a public right of way that will allow for replacement of the Monterey Road bridge. Tyringham voters will also be asked to accept portions of Monterey Road as a public way.
