Tyringham Select Board chairman faces challenger in Monday election

TYRINGHAM — A seat on the Select Board is the only competitive vote in Monday's town election.

Incumbent Select Board Chairman James Consolati is being challenged by Mark Curtin, chairman of the Planning Board, for a three-year term on the Select Board.

Polls will be open from noon to 7 p.m. at Town Hall, 116 Main St.

In addition to the Select Board, voters will elect seven other town officials.

Uncontested races: Moderator (one year), Charles Slater; assessor (three years), William Cosel; Cemetery Commission (three years), Richard Loring; library trustee (three years), Catherine Mardula; Planning Board (five years), Rebecca Honig; School Committee (three years), Maureen Lenti.

No name will appear on the ballot for an open, five-year position on the Park Commission.
