Veterans Day Observances

Veterans Day will observed on Saturday with ceremonies and a parade.

North Adams:
Due to inclement weather, the Veterans Day parade scheduled for Saturday at 10:40 a.m. has been canceled. A ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. at the American Legion, 91 American Legion Drive. Following the ceremony, the program will proceed from the American Legion to the North Adams Armory for the dedication ceremony honoring U.S. Army Spc. Michael DeMarsico II.

Pittsfield: The Veterans Day parade and ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. from City Hall. Lineup will take place from 9-9:45 a.m. on Fenn, Pearl and Allen streets. The march will proceed to Veterans Memorial Park on South Street for the ceremony. Following the ceremony, a light reception for veterans and their family members will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pittsfield VA Outpatient Clinic, 73 Eagle St.

Stephentown, N.Y.: Dedication of the Fallen Soldier Monument at 11 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, Route 43. Chris Gibson, former Congressman and current Stanley Kaplan Distinguished Visiting Professor of American Foreign Policy at Williams College, will be the featured speaker.
