Tonight The Berkshire Eagle Berkshire All Stars awards show honored the top high school athletes and their coaches of the 2019-20 school year in video format. We revealed the male and female athletes and the teams of the year during this broadcast.

The awards show, sponsored by Berkshire Bank, can also be seen on our Facebook page and on all three Berkshire County public access TV stations.  The All Stars event is in video format this year since large-scale, in-person gatherings cannot be held.

This year’s All Stars was hosted by legendary MLB pitcher and broadcaster Jim Kaat, and had surprise cameo appearances by several top U.S. athletes.

This year’s All Stars was a tribute to all the hard work and dedication shown on the sporting fields, courts and surfaces in our area. The video was produced by Jeff Ross, a multi-Emmy winning sports producer and owner of Reel Video Group.

The video features segments on each of the honorees, who have been announced at berkshireeagle.com/allstars

Along with our already announced awards, there were five special awards being announce during the broadcast: our Unsung Heroes award, our Teams of the Year awards, and our Male and Female Athlete of the Year honors.

Pittsfield Community Television (Channel 1301), Northern Berkshire Community Television (1302) and Community Television  for the Southern Berkshires (1302) will also broadcast the video at 6 p.m. on Monday, with each station also planning to re-air the broadcast in the future. The 2020 All Stars video will be available indefinitely on berkshireeagle.com.
