WGBY interviews Berkshire DA Andrea Harrington on new bail policy


Berkshire District Attorney Andrea Harrington’s new bail policy has gotten rid of bail for most defendants awaiting trial, unless they are considered a flight risk or a threat to public safety.

Similar policies have been implemented across with country, but not without controversy. Some question if removing bail will lead to a spike in crime.

Harrington joined WGBY's Carolee McGrath to share the reasoning behind the new policy.
