WINDSOR — An undetermined amount of marijuana was seized by local and state police Sunday in Windsor.

A Windsor town official confirmed that the incident involved an alleged illegal outdoor growing operation that was using a solar-power array.

The official referred questions to Police Chief Thomas Barnaby, who declined to provide specifics pending further review by the office of the Berkshire district attorney.

Along with what the official termed a "large" amount of marijuana, the police seized weapons.

During the incident, someone was injured in the foot by the discharge of a gun.

Chief Barnaby declined to say more about the nature of the shooting.

A state police trooper working from the Framingham media center said that the case is possibly being handled by state troopers assigned to the Berkshire DA's office.
