Who do we trust with our secrets?

Friday June 14, 2013

To the editor of THE EAGLE:

I find it amazing that some Americans (along with other nationalities) find it incredulous that the U.S. government is monitoring telephone numbers and Internet addresses. I suspect that they’d be even more amazed to find that their local grocery store, credit card company, Internet search engines, their favorite website, and little old Amazon knows more about them than the government does!

I guess it’s just a choice of who you trust with your information. If monitoring this type of electronic data can prevent one terrorist incident, I’m all for it. I have nothing to hide.

Remember -- the only secret you can have, is one that no one else knows.
