Woman's leg run over by rolling car in Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD — A woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries Wednesday morning after her leg was run over by a vehicle.

The vehicle rolled backward at 48 Elizabeth St. on Wednesday morning after the driver, 58-year-old Pittsfield resident Maria Leon, exited without putting it in park, police said in a release.

The vehicle knocked Leon over and ran over her leg.

Leon was taken to Berkshire Medical Center.

The accident remains under investigation by the Pittsfield Police Traffic Bureau.
