Workshop on nonprofit board training


PITTSFIELD — The Osher Life Long Learning Institute at Berkshire Community College and the Nonprofit Center of the Berkshires are holding a workshop Tuesday through Friday designed for people who are interested in serving on local nonprofit boards.The sessions will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at BCC's Pittsfield campus. Liana Toscanini, the founder and director of the Nonprofit Center of the Berkshires, is the lead instructor. On Friday, representatives of 15 local nonprofits will hold a "speed dating" event with attendees to help match volunteers with organizations.Registration for both the board training and nonprofit speed dating workshop is $60 for OLLI members and $80 for non-members.
