This week's lineup is filled with events to impress.


The 22nd Blues Pro Jam at Club Helsinki Hudson will feature the area's top blues musicians including Pat O'Shea, Petey Hop, Andy Stahl, Craig Keil, Pat Perkinson and Sonny Rock, 8 p.m., 405 Columbia St., Hudson, N.Y. The Club Helsinki Blues Pro Jam is a bimonthly event welcoming all working musicians in the region to sit in for a freewheeling blues jam.

It's $5 Comedy Garage night at Berkshire Theatre Group. Head to the Colonial Theatre, 111 South St., Pittsfield, 7:30 p.m. for a show by headliner Richie Redding and special guest Adel Alizadeh.


Local favorites the BTUs head to the Barn at the Egremont Village Inn, 8 to 11 pm. Friday. The BTUs are a four-piece blues band featuring Steve Ide and Bobby MacVeety. The Barn is located at 17 Main St., South Egremont. More information at

EDITOR'S PICK The Purple Pub is hosting a themed story night, beginning at 7 p.m., at 65 Spring St., Williamstown. Mark Longhurst emcees "First Crush," so bring your true tale of first love, no notes! Stories need to be in the first person and not longer than five minutes. The prize for best story is a pair of tickets to Shakespeare & Company's "Lovers' Spat."

Castle Street Cafe hosts returning favorite Dave Reed for some live jazz, 8 p.m., 10 Castle St., Great Barrington.


Lovers of country music, head to Pittsfield for Legends of Country Music at the Colonial Theatre. Enjoy tributes to Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and Merle Haggard, $40-$30, 7:30 p.m.

George Langord of Javelin opens for guitarist and composer Rafiq Bhatia at Mass MoCA, 8 p.m., 1040 Mass MoCA Way, North Adams. Tickets are $20-$10, available at

Beatles fans, head to the Stationary Factory for a special Valentine's event, P.S. I Love You with Berkshire Beatlesque, 7 p.m. Tickets for the concert are $25; VIP tickets include dinner by Zucchini's Restaurant, preferred seating and optional meet-and-greet with the band, $50. Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center's movie series continues with a screening of the classic "Casablanca," 7 p.m. Celebrate Valentine's with one of the greatest romantic films of all time, starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, $10-$8, 14 Castle St., Great Barrington.


Buddy McEarns performs blues and rock and roll at the Lion's Den at the Red Lion Inn, 8 to 11 p.m., 30 Main St., Stockbridge.

Catch Soul Brass Band with funk, soul and rhythm and blues band Paul Rivers-Bailey & the Forefathers at Club Helsinki, 405 Columbia St., Hudson, N.Y. "Soul Brass Band plays a jazzy, horn-laced fusion of New Orleans funk, soul and hip-hop." Doors open at 6, show at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25-$20, available at This is a 21 and older show.
