PITTSFIELD — For Barrington Stage Company's production of "Ragtime," having just the right costumes means everything." "The costumes give us information about [the time] period and about what community each character belongs to," said Joe Calarco, director of Ragtime for BSC. "In our production of the show we're having three of our main characters start in contemporary clothes and looking back on their ancestors' lives and then they transform into their ancestors.
