Windsor: Drum fest offers classes, concert

The 11th annual Berkshire Drum Fest to benefit Tamarack Hollow Nature and Cultural Center will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Windsor Town Park, Peru Road, and online via Zoom. Rain date is Sunday, Sept. 27.

The event features classes with master drummer Namory Keita from Sangbarala, Guinea, West Africa, from 10:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 2:30 p.m. Cost is $30 for a single class, $50 for both.

A performance at 3 p.m. features Keita, Berkshire Rhythm Keepers led by Aimee Gelinas and members of Gaia Roots. The suggested donation is $10-$20+.

The event also includes a world marketplace and refreshments. Masks are required.
